The death of Fidelia C. Burd occurred at 6:15 Tuesday morning, March 6th, 1928 at her home near Cayutaville.

Mrs. Burd suffered a stroke Sunday morning and never regained consciousness.

Fidelia C. Burd was born in the town of Catharine July 31, 1857. Her parents were Aaron and Olive Charles. She was married to Frank M. Burd on Jan. 16, 1878.

She is survived by her husband, Frank M. Burd; two daughters, Mrs. Olin Compton and Frances Leola Burd; three grandchildren, Frances, Floyd and Burd Compton; one nephew, Fred Leonard of Ithaca and a large circle of relatives and friends who mourn her departure.

The funeral was held at her late home Thursday at 2 P.M. March 8.

Rev. Russell Patton officiated. Interment in Mecklenburg cemetery.

But 'tis God who hath bereft us,
He will all our sorrows heal."
