PENNS CREEK — Mary C. Alton, 62, of Penns Creek, passed away on Sunday evening, Feb. 9, 2014, at her home. She was born May 18, 1951, in Annapolis, Md., a daughter of the late Joseph and Ruby (Gibson) Dipreno. She was married to Albert L. Alton, who survives. She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Alan and Verna Alton, Adam Alton and Zachary Alton, all of Penns Creek; three daughters, Tara Alton, of Middleburg, Heather Alton, of Beavertown, and Monica Alton, of Penns Creek; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose Summers, of Hartleton; and two brothers, Frank Dipreno, of Shamokin, and Joe Dipreno, of North Carolina. Services will be private. Arrangements are by the Hummel Funeral Home, Middleburg.
