Edwin A. Miller
WAUPUN - Edwin August Miller, 81, of Waupun, died on Sunday, April 29, 2007, at the Waupun Memorial Hospital.

Edwin was born on March 9, 1926, in the town of Chester, Dodge County, a son to Edward and Eliza (Van Loo) Miller.

Edwin was raised on a dairy farm, and worked with his mother and step-father, Joseph Van Buren, for many years managing the home farm, especially enjoying field work. Edwin worked seasonally for area canning factories and eventually was employed with an area construction company as a carpenter for several years. On Aug. 19, 1967, he was united in marriage to Josephine (DeVries) Van Loo in Beaver Dam. Edwin was a pleasant, easy-going man who looked forward to family gatherings and lunches with his sisters and nieces. He enjoyed being outdoors, and besides hunting and fishing, he liked riding motorcycle and his horse named Lady. Edwin was fond of his step-grandchildren and grateful for their visits. He also enjoyed trips to the casino.

Edwin is survived by five siblings, Arthur (Julliene) Miller, Sr., Randolph, Melvin (Sippie) Miller, Bristol, Dorothy Tolsma, Brandon, Evelyn (James) Torzewski, North Fond du Lac, and Arnold Miller, Beaver Dam; his beloved nieces and nephews; special step-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine, in August 1999; two brothers, Oscar Miller, and John and his wife Wilma Miller; a sister, Eleanor Billips; his parents; his step-father; his half brother, James Van Buren; and a brother-in-law, Paul Tolsma.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Waupun, with the Rev. Wick Hubers officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Mound Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun, is serving the family.
