He married Emeline Parks about 1842. They had five known children: Warren, Irving Erastus, Sylvanus Perry, Nancy E, and Edward C Eaton.

He enlisted on 23 FEB 1864 in Kingston, New York an served as a Private, 20th New York Infantry, Company F.

He is found living in Greene County New York in the 1860 US Census, and the 1855, and 1865 New York state census.
