GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. - Larry Haney died peacefully at home in his favorite recliner March 16, 2016, with the love of his family and his faithful care dog Sassy beside him with caregivers extraordinaire Elizabeth and Mark Kahley lovingly watching over the whole family.
Larry Eugene Haney was born Feb 11, 1942, in Hutchinson, the son of Nina Marie Jones Haney and Virgil A. Haney of Turon. He graduated from Turon High School and briefly attended Hutchinson Junior College. He married Pamela Diane Stark on 8-19-1960. He worked with his father in the John Deere Dealership in Turon where he lived for many years, eventually moving to Langdon Kansas where he and his wife Pamela raised two sons, Mark Randell and Troy Craig (deceased) . Another son, Brooke Laine was born and died 7-25-1962.
In May 1990, Larry married Linda Laird in Tucson, Ariz. Another son ey resided in Hutchinson, where Larry worked as a trucker for Dillons and was a hobby gunsmith. They moved permanently to Green Valley, Ariz., in 2013. Larry is survived by his wife Linda and her daughter, Cynthia Huggins; beloved grandchildren, Jay and Justine Huggins; Larry’s son, Mark; his siblings, Virginia Wilson, Barbara Sells, Richard Haney and their families; our special love to nephew Justin “Willy” Wilson and his wife Robyn and their sons for the many visits that brought such joy.
