Ovalee Gill, age 91 of Leon, WV, died January 3, 2019. He was born March 31, 1927 in Widen, WV, Clay County. He was the son of Albert (Ab) W. Gill, and Cornelia (Neely) Sattler Gill, of Clay County. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Workman Gill, who died in June 2002. His sister, Chessie Gill Woods, brothers, Otha (Bubby) Gill, Claudis Gill, and Lloyd Gill. Also, two nephews, Steve Gill, Gary Woods, and a niece, Sheila Woods Hamric.

He is survived by seven children: Richard Gill of Red House, WV; Lois Gill (Robinson) Kincaid of Point Pleasant, WV; Donna Gill Dawson and husband, W. L. (Junior) Dawson, of Pliny, WV; Scotty Gill and Barb Alexander of Amherst, OH; Larry and Debi Gill of Amherst, OH; Terry Annette Stutler and Jeff Stutler of Leon, WV; Christopher Gill and Christina Marin Gill of Ansted, WV.

He is also survived by a brother, Kendall Gill of Clay County, WV; Grandchildren, Monica Robinson and her husband, Jason Hager of Hurricane, WV; Jodie Robinson Gardill and her husband, Christopher Gardill of Wheeling, WV; Crystal Dawson Pelfrey and her husband, Brooks Pelfrey of Milton, WV; Travis Dawson and his wife, Trena Dawson of Leon, WV; Kimberly Gill of Hurricane, WV; Meranda Gill Millis and her husband, Al Millis of Willard, OH; Melissa Gill Striker and her husband , Joe Striker of Amherst, OH; Tabitha Gill and Liam Gill of Ansted, WV; Four Step Grandchildren; Fifteen Great Grandchildren and seven Step Great Grandchildren, and many special Nephews, Nieces, and friends.

Ovalee was a World War II veteran and was stationed at Clark Field in the Phillipines. He worked for Elk River Coal and Lumber Company(Buffalo Creek and Gauley Railroad), Widen, WV for 17 years; Georgia Pacific Lumber Company, Swandale, WV, as a truck driver; Clay Camper Company, Adkins Trucking in Nicholas County, WV, and Rigid Tool Company, Elyria, OH, from which he retired.

The family would like to give special thanks to his home health caregivers, especially, Jessica and Sarah; the entire staff at Pleasant Valley Hospital who were so caring and kind. Also, Deal Funeral Home for their special friendship, care, and kindness.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 7, 2019, at Bowcott Cemetery in Pliny, WV, at 1 PM. Friends may visit the family at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, Sunday, Janu
