Donna was born August 10, 1944 in Massena, the daughter of the late Frank and Rita (Marian) Bronchetti. She was graduate of Massena High School and later achieved her Bachelor of Science Degree from Plattsburgh State. On June 5, 1965, she married John W. Adams, Jr. in Plattsburgh.
Donna first started her teaching career at Eastside Elementary School on the Plattsburgh Air Force Base before moving to Parishville, where she started a long teaching career at Parishville-Hopkinton Central Schools. While teaching, she was also a member of the Parishville-Hopkinton Teachers Association, serving for a time as their president. She also owned and operated a fabric shop in Parishville for many years. Donna was a communicant of Holy Cross Church in Hopkinton and an active member of the Parishville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, where she once served as their chief. Donna enjoyed crafting, needlework, quilting, and sewing having made many quilts and donating them back to the community for various fundraisers. She also enjoyed birdwatching and flower gardening.
Donna is survived by her husband, John; her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Arturo Cespedes of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and her grandchildren, Isabella, Isaac, and Jacob.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy Jo Adams in 1969 and her sister, Margaret Chase on April 9, 1988.
Friend may call at the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam on Friday, January 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 5th 11:00 AM Holy Cross Church in Hopkinton with Rev. Alfred Fish, celebrating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Parishville.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Parishville Fire and Rescue.
