She was born in 1933 in Jay, FL to the late Claud Heaton and Ollie Wise Heaton.
Cubie was preceded in death by her second husband of 32 years, Buster Laws, who passed away Dec 8, 2018, only 18 days before she joined him. Cubie retired from Martin Marietta in 1990, after 30 years. She loved gardening, cooking and doing crafts. She was always busy doing something, never idle.
Cubie is survived by her daughters Donna Eldridge, Deborah Silcox ( Fred ), and son Douglas Eldridge, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Myrtle Fowler and Ina Warren, and brothers Gerald and Tommy Heaton.
Cubie was also preceded in death by her first husband James Willam Eldridge and brothers Robert and Bennit Heaton.
Services will be held Monday, Dec 31, 1pm, Woodlawn Funeral Home, Gotha, FL. with a graveside service immediately following.
