MRS. AMERICA PRATER
(1890-1954)
Mrs. America Little Prater, 64, of 1921 Sixth St., employee of Selby Retail Shoe Store, died at 5:05 a.m. today at Mercy Hospital. Mrs. Prater was admitted to the hospital four days ago after suffering a heart attack.
She had lived at the Sixth St. address 35 years and had been employed by Selby's 10 years.
Mrs. Prater was born Feb. 14, 1890, at Jackson, Ky., a daughter of William and Eliza Little. She was married to Oliver Prater who preceded in death Oct. 19, 1951.
She was a member of the Gospel Church.
Surviving are four sons, Kiser, Ray, Walter and Oscar; four brothers; and 11 grandchildren.
The parents, husband, two children, a sister and a brother preceded in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the residence. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at the direction of Mart Glynn Funeral Home. The body will be at the residence after 7 tonight.
