ARLINGTON - Joyce G. Hartman, 89, a long-time resident of the Fort Worth area, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018.
Joyce was born February of 1929, in Wyatt, La., to Loyal Mason Greer and Cecil Holsomback Greer. She grew up in the Jonesboro, La., area and moved to Fort Worth in 1952, where she worked in the office at Frigidaire. It was there that she met her husband, La Verne Hartman and they were married in August of 1953. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family fiercely. She liked nothing better than spending time with her family and doting on her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, LaVerne Hartman, and sister, Maxel Dunn.
Survivors: Brother, Wilbur Cruse; children, Roger W. Hartman and wife, Linda, and Richard G. Hartman and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Ashley, Joey, Gregory, Amanda, Nicole and Margaret; and great-grandchild, Charlotte.
