ROCK HILL - Mrs. Willette Culp "Pete" Barton, 99, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, in Rock Hill, S.C.
A native of Edgemoor, S.C., Mrs. Barton was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Ethel Culp. Born on Oct. 22, 1912, she was a retired school teacher, former member of Edgemoor ARP Church and member of Arlington Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Fla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Eugene Barton. Surviving are her daughter, Jean Fiano of Fairport, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Barton will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Edgemoor ARP Church Cemetery, with the Rev. John O'Kain officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Mrs. Barton may be made to Edgemoor ARP Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 108, Edgemoor, SC 29712.
