Our beloved Uncle. 7th great-grandson of Godfrey I and Mary Ragsdale.

Served in the United States Navy, stationed in Sunnyvale, California when he met Arda Mae Cushman. They married Valentine's Day 1948 in San Jose, Santa Clara Co., CA. One son.

Our "Uncle Rags" is singing praises to our Father in Heaven with his sisters. He always knew how to play with us children and make us laugh and truly made us believe that we were special in his eyes. As I have grown older, he has always continued this wonderful characteristic of a fine, sweet, intelligent uncle.

Uncle Rags would tell us stories about his being a Rodeo Clown and how much fun I remember watching him turn the horses away from a cowboy. He became a firefighter, later to be Fire Chief, but loved being a Rodeo Clown.

The four of us girls are mourning the loss of our beloved Uncle and shaming ourselves because twice a year is not enough contact for those we love.
