Eddy Lerma Agueros, Jr., age 65, of Warrensburg passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at his home.

He was born June 10, 1953 in San Antonio, TX, the son of Eddy and Mary (Alvarado) Agueros.

On May 5, 1990, he and Monique Blanchette were united in marriage in Marathon, FL.

Eddy retired from the James C. Kirkpatrick Library at the University of Central Missouri where he worked as Manager of Access Services. He earned his Masters of Science in sociology from UCM. He enjoyed music and rooting for the Chiefs and Royals.

Eddy is survived by his wife, Monique, of the home; his mother, Mary, four children, John (Alyssa) Agueros of Warrensburg, Nicole Agueros-Deese of West Palm Beach, FL, Alexander Agueros of Warrensburg, and Danielle Agueros and fiancé Zadac Lankford of Warrensburg; his grandson Colin Agueros of Warrensburg and soon-to-be grandson Lucas Agueros; and his siblings, Rosemary (Jay) Petersen of San Antonio, TX, Paul (Sandy) Agueros of Melbourne, FL, and Trisha Agueros of Warrensburg. Eddy is also survived by many nieces and nephews; his dog Jenny; his cat Simba; and his granddogs, Vada and Obi.

He was a good father, good husband, and good friend.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation and can be left in care of the funeral home.
