David Gupton, age 62, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.

David was born on November 30, 1956 in Kirksville, MO. He was the son of Paul “Doc” Leon and Vera Marie Thompson Gupton.

He is survived by his one brother, Rusty Gupton and Fiancé Christina Goings of New London, MO and one sister Mary Threase of Hannibal, MO; several cousins, John and Jimmy Smith, Carol Barrick and Paulette Stapleton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Eddie Paul Gupton.

David loved to work at the Kirksville Shelter Workshop in Kirksville, MO. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, and watching John Wayne western movies.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11 am at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri. A visitation will be held on Saturday January 5, 2019 from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Forrest Grove Cemetery north of Shelbyville, MO, following the service. Memorials may be made to Ellendel ISL or Donor’s Choice.
