Martinsburg, WV -- ARTHUR H. BASCUE, 71, of 406 Porter Ave., died Thursday at City Hospital. Born in Loudoun County, Va., he was the son of Henry Jacob and Bessie Virginia Devine Bascue.
He was an auto mechanic, and received training at the Firestone School in Akron, Ohio. He had been employed by Ralph Burkhart and Floyd Butts. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, serving as deacon. He also was a member of the Men's Bible Class, and was a former member of choir. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and Retired Men's Retreat.
He is survived by his wife, Estella Dick Bascue; daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Marie Harris, Bealton, Va.; son, Charles Arthur Bascue, New Orleans, La.; sister, Mrs. Kathleen Kidwell, Anderson, SC; brother, Fred Bascue, Lodi, Ca.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Brown Funeral Home. Burial in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
