Robert P. Baum, 70, Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Brother, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father, Wednesday December 26, 2018 at his home in Hanna, with family by his side.

Bob was born on December 24, 1948, in the Provo Hospital to Ray J. Baum and Mary Valina Pace. He lived in Fruitland, Utah and attended school in Duchesne. He married DaVona Defa on June 23, 1969. They made their home in Hanna, Utah. He served in the Army from 1969-1971. During his training he went to Germany to play war games. He fought for our country in the Vietnam War. Together they raised four children. Bob and DaVona solemnized their marriage in the Provo Temple on June 23, 1993. They loved to travel to Yuma in the winter. Bob loved to hunt, fish, and cut timber - anything to spend time in the mountains with his family. He worked for the Chevron Pipeline from May 1975 to February 2006, as a Senior Mechanic. He was also a logger, farmer, welder, teacher, supervisor and all around Superman. He is a legend for his knowledge and ability to repair or build anything. He engineered and invented things that had never been done before. As a member of the LDS Church, he had many callings. He was honored to hold the Priesthood. The prayers and blessings he gave were very strong and heartfelt.

He is survived by his wife, DaVona; children, Trudy (Jay) of Heber City, Sheri (Mike) of Salt Lake City, Nick (Tara) of Herriman; granddaughters Sheryl (Patrick), Kazya (Caden), Mary, and Rylan; grandsons Duke (Mattie), and Clay (Rylie); great-granddaughters Lucille, and Lila. Sisters, Elaine of Hooper, Julie (Bart) of Pearland Tx, Brothers John (Carolyn) of Woods Cross, Vernon (Sheila) of Fruitland, Paul (Holly) of Tabiona, and Bruce (Lisa) of Richfield. Preceded in death by his son, Vernon Baum, parents Ray and Mary Baum and brother-in-law Jack Adams.

A viewing will be held on January 1, 2019 at the Heber Valley Funeral Home, 288 N. Main, Heber City, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Tabiona Ward (38000 3750 N.
