Gilbert Wilson 80, died Saturday Dec. 31, 1966 at his home, 807 East Franklin St. Clinton, MO. after a lingering illness. He was the son of the late D. A. and Litha Bryant Wilson and was born in Henry Co. Dec. 15, 1886 Where most of his life was spent. On Sept. 5, 1915 he was united in marriage with Zella M. Brown of the Hickory Grove community. To this union one son, Ellis Elmo was born. Mrs. Wilson died Feb. 9, 1962. Mr. Wilson atteded the Highland school when a boy and later the Wilsons were regular attendants at the Highland Sunday School where, Oct. 1954, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He was a farmer and made many friends and enjoyed visits with them. February 11, 1963, he married Ms. Abigail Gordon and they made their home in Clinton. She faithfully cared for him through his illness. Survivors include his wife Abigail of the home, his son Ellis and wife Elva, his sister Clara Foster, brother Estil and family, four step sons, two step daughters and twenty-one step grand children many frinds. One sister preceded him in death.
