George A. Reeves was born April 29, 1942, in Tulalip, Washington, to Thomas and Vivian Evangeline Shelton Reeves. He passed away October 4, 2006, in Tulalip, at the age of 64.
George was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Army from 1967-68. He was a carpenter, heavy equipment operator, fisherman, and logger. George was an active member in the Smokehouse. He loved the water and when the tide was right he would be harvesting clams and crabs on Hat and Camano Islands.
He is survived by his sons, Brian, Roman, and George Jr. Reeves, and Malescio Aguilar; daughter, Renee Aguilar; sisters, Frances Contraro, Lila Henry and Esther Reeves; grandchildren, Dennis, Albert, Emberson, Melody, Georgette, Georgetta, Ramona, Nicholas, Sarah, Elida, Tiffany, Noah, Krystal, Angelique, Gary, Stephanie, Trevor, Joshua, Eddie, Yellow Rose, Candace, Arnold, Irista, Ocean, Danika, Malisa, Annah, Tyrel, Malicio Jr., Jackson, James, Diana, Jeremiah, Rosaline, and Kristine; along with great grandchildren, Dakotah and Dasmond; and numerous nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Vivian Evangeline Reeves; brother, Conrad Reeves Sr., and wife, Bev Tom.
Viewing will be held from 1 until 2 p.m., today, Friday, October 6, 2006, at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Avenue, Marysville, Washington. An Interfaith Service will be held at 6 p.m., today, Friday, at the Tulalip Tribal Center, 6700 Totem Beach Road, Tulalip. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 7, 2006, at the Tribal Center with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.
