A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM in Ferguson Cemetery in Bayou Chicot on Monday, December 31, 2018 for Eugene Aucoin, Sr, 101, who passed away on Thursday, December 27 in Morgan City, Louisiana.
Eugene was born in Morgan City, Louisiana to John Webster Aucoin and Eveline (LaCoste) Aucoin and was raised in the Bayou Chene area. He married Enola Alice Berret, moved to and resided in Eunice, Louisiana from 1946-1978, and then moved to Bayou Chicot Louisiana, where he remained.
Eugene is survived by his three sons: Lloyd, Kenneth, and Eugene Jr. and by a loving extended family of numerous grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Webster Aucoin and Eveline (LaCoste) Aucoin and his beloved wife of 69 years, Enola Alice (Berret) Aucoin.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, December 31 from 8:00 AM until time of burial.
Visitation will also held at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City, Louisiana on Friday, December 28, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, December 29, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM with service at Hargrave’s beginning at 11:00 AM.
