At the Canonsburg' General Hospital Tuesday, April 1, 1947, at 11:20 a.m. occurred the death of Mrs. Emma Danley Martin McConnell, 66, of 249 North Jefferson avenue. She was admitted to the hospital on March 12, following an illness of two years, the last six months of which her condition was serious.
Mrs. McConnell was born in East Finley Township Sept, 11, 1880, a daughter of Martin and Mary F. Danley, her parents having been pioneer residents of that township. Mrs. McConnell spent her early life in East Finley Township and was a former resident of Eighty Four.
She was a member of the Chartiers U. P. Church and active in church affairs while her health permitted. She taught the Ruth and Lydia Sunday School Class and was a member of the Women's Missionary Society. She was also a member of the WCTU.
Mrs. MeConnell's husband. B. K. McConnell, died Sept. 10, 1937.
Surviving are one brother, Martin Addison Danley, of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Naomi C. Danley, of Washington; Minnie F., wife of Harry C Ealy, of Taylorstown, and Myrtle L wife of Earl Burn field, of Washington, and a number of nieces end nephews.
Friends are being received at the Hinton and Griffith Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 1, in charge of the Rev. J. Reade McCrory, of the Chartiers U. P. Church. Burial will he in Oak Spring Cemetery.
