Miss Miriam Annsleigh Otting, age 19, of Lyerly, GA, died Monday, December 24, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Miss Otting was born January 8, 1999, in Rome, GA, daughter of the late Mary Louise Strawn Bishop and the late Jonathan Craig Otting. She was a 2017 graduate of Trion High School and was currently attending Valdosta State University where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She had attended New Hope South Baptist Church and was employed with the Boys and Girls Club. She also enjoyed playing intramural soccer.

Miss Otting is survived by her brothers, Tyler Bishop and Brodie Otting; a sister, Carleigh Otting; grandparents, Jeannie and Donald Espy, Holland Strawn, Mildred Jordan, and Jane Williams; great-grandparents, Bill Burchett, Jean Strawn, Carolyn Espy; aunts and uncles, Holley Strawn Gilliland and Kevin Gilliland, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Matthew Espy, Mr. and Mrs. William Russell Espy, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Jordan Espy, and Dillard Franklin Espy; step-mother, Katrice Brewer; special cousin, Wyatt Strawn; and several special friends and family members.
Funeral services for Miss Otting will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in New Hope South Cemetery.

Miss Otting will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Saturday.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in her honor to the Boys and Girls Club of Chattooga County (P.O. Box 636, Summerville, GA 30747).
