Found Relatives
On opening the Vinita Journal Sunday morning, the first thing that attracted our attention was the heading: “Death of W.H. McArthur.” On reading further we found this man to be our brother-in-law, who had been living with his son, J.C. McArthur, at Vinita for two years past.
The deceased was 62 years old and his wife (our eldest sister) died some fifteen years ago. It had been twenty years since we saw any member of the family or even knew where they resided, and we were agreeable surprised to learn that we were to be a close neighbor of relatives.
We boarded the afternoon train and went to Vinita and passed a very pleasant evening with our nephew and family, who were as surprised to see us as we were to hear of them.
