Mrs. Gertrude E. Styer, 48, wife of Benjamin F. Styer, 1030 E. Orange St., died Wednesday at 4:20 a.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital after an illness of 18 months.
She was a hairdresser for 20 years and had operated Trudy's Beauty Shop at 116 S. Arch St. for a number of years.
Born in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Roy C. and Elizabeth Robinson Reynolds, she was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Patricia L., wife of Gordon A. Snyder, and Sandra M., wife of Reed B. Dambach, both of Lancaster; four grandchildren and these sisters and brothers, Mrs. Mildred Conlow; James Reynolds; Ida, wife of Thomas R. Devonshire, all of Lancaster; Mary, wife of John Walstrum, Lebanon R1; and George Reynolds, Lancaster.
