In the early 1920's, Leonard changed his name to NAIVE and later, changed it back to his original name, NAVE. Leonard married Lillian B. Ray on 09 Nov 1899 and had 8 children by her: Jessie, Carrie, James, Evorie, Gracie, Isabel, Leonard, and Lillie. Lillian died 4 days after giving birth to Lillie. Three weeks later, he married Saletia Frances Leigh on 15 Aug 1912 and had 5 children by her, Joe, Ralph, Gorham, Bessie, and Archie. Afterwards, Leonard married Mamie Hiatt Spoonamore who was a widow of Jesse B. Sartain and had no children by her.
