Ruth L. Herrod, 83, of Parkersburg died December 25, 2018 at her residence. She was born on August 23, 1935 in Harrison County, WV a daughter of the late Harold G. and Forrest Lacy Bailey. She was a homemaker and attended South Parkersburg Baptist Church.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 55 years, Elden B. Herrod; one son, Kevin B. (Beth) Herrod of Belleville, PA; three grandchildren Katelyn Herrod of Parkersburg, Andrew Herrod of Parkersburg, Aiden Hendricks of Belleville, PA; one brother, Kenneth Bailey of Stonewood, WV and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Dennison and one brother Delbert Bailey.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 29, 2018, 11:00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg, with Reverend Frank Miller officiating.
Burial will follow at Marshville Cemetery, Marshville, WV.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 28, 2018, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Leavitt Funeral Home, of Parkersburg, WV.
