Albion - Helen M. Noe, 74, of Albion, died Sunday, April 10, 2016.
Helen was a precious solitary soul, cherished by her children, friends, and caregivers at Hickory Creek Nursing Home.
She was born April 13, 1941 in Brown County, Indiana to Tom and Dorothy (Crouch) Penrose. Helen spent her younger years in Brown County, until the family moved to Noble County.
Helen married Robert H. Noe on Sep. 17, 1960 and he preceded her in death in 1992.
Helen loved small animals and liked shopping at second-hand stores. Helen and her friends went to local nursing homes helping with Bible study.
She is survived by a son, Robert Noe of Albion; two daughters, Carol (Pat) Grimes of Syracuse, and Karen (David) Dunham of Fort Wayne; and her grandchildren, Basil Dunham, Sophia Dunham, Janeane Grimes, Ethan Grimes, and Heather Grimes. She was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Dorothy (Crouch) Penrose; her brothers, Thomas J. Penrose, Harold E. Penrose, and Herschel L. Penrose; and her sisters, Mary E. Penrose, Barbara M. Penrose, Verna Davis, and Deloris M. Penrose. Memorials are to the donor's choice.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Service will be Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Ormas Cemetery in Whitley County. Arrangements entrusted to Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road.
