Mariah 's onituary states:
"Mrs. Mariah Boyce of Cassady, Mont., departed this life Dec., the 17th, aged 65 years, 6 months and 7 days. She was born in Indiana May 28th 1851. Her parents locating in Putnam County, MO., when she was a child. She was united in marriage with John Boyce Nov. 10th 1868, thet for many years residing on a farm in the east part of this county. About four years ago she moved with her son C. O. to Montana. Her Husband died in 1898.
To this Union four children were born, and one daughter, three of whom survive her, one dying in infancy. The surviving children are-W.E. and C.O. of Cassady, Mont. and Mrs. Mae Ayers of this county. She leaves also 14 grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers. together with many friends in the northeast part of the county where she resided for many years.
The deceased was a kind and affectionate mother, and one who found pleasure in aiding those about her whenever she could. She united with the church when about 16 years old and continued in the faith until death.
All was done to relieve her sufferings that her children and friends could do, but to little avail."
Mariah died of Cancer.
