Born May 8, 1939, in Athena, Ore., he was the son of Leland and Priscilla Vandecar Jenkins. He lived his entire life in Pendleton.
He is survived by his sisters, Debra Morgan of Portand and Sarah Jenkins of The Woodlands, Texas.
A private memorial service is planned by RISE Services in Pendleton, with assistance from the Walla Walla Community Hospice.
On March 20, 2019, his cremains were buried in his father's grave in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Springfield, Ore.
