He was born on February 16, 1931 in Fairmont, a son of the late James Calvin and Grace May (Travis) Pheasant.
Keith was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He worked for the Marion County Board of Education as a painter and Michael Motors as a Parts Manager; he was a devout born-again Christian. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, cars, collecting antiques and word search puzzles.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dellia Louise (Kisner) Pheasant.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, James C. Pheasant and Jack W. Pheasant and sisters, Arlene Miller and Mescal Powell.
Keith is survived by one daughter, Sheila Kay Brown and her husband Larry, of Fairmont; grandchildren: Regina Mutnansky and husband Mike, of South Carolina; Heath Brown and wife Hali, of Morgantown; Edward Brown and companion Donna Yeager, of Fairmont; and Joshua Brown, of Fairmont; and great-grandchildren: Travis Mutnansky, Jacob Mutnansky and Trey Mutnansky.
Family and friends are welcome to call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont, on Thursday, December 27 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., with services beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Roy Weese officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
