Walter Mathews "Pete" Allgood was born on September 25, 1924 in Springfield, Tennessee, the son of Robert Henry Allgood (1887–1963) and Amanda Kathleen (Brindley) Allgood (1894–1973).
He worked for the Robertson County Highway Department as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 30 years and was a member of Lifehouse Fellowship Church.
Living in Springfield, Walter was 94 years old when he passed away on December 11, 2018 at NorthCrest Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers Dallas Allgood, Bailey Allgood, Gene Allgood, Clarence Edward Allgood, Robert Allgood and William Allgood. Survivors included a married niece in Greenbrier, with whom he lived for several years, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services were held in Elmwood Cemetery, Springfield.
