Everall was born to Phillip Stephen and Jessie Gertrude (Trotter) Holman on September 23, 1915 in a 12X14 foot homestead shack north of Wagner, Montana. He was the third child out of 8 and the first to be born in Montana. Everall received his early education at Mountain View School north of Wagner and graduated from Dodson High School in 1933. He spent many a lunchtime during school playing pool! Everall also played on a county baseball team, when he could not make practices his dad would practice with him at home.

After graduation, Everall worked on the family ranch, Holman Hereford Home. He had many jobs on the ranch ranging from farming, ranching, and transporting cattle all over the country and hauling whatever load he could back to Malta, including the county shop. His favorite job though would have been flying. He learned how to fly in the 40's when Steve and Jessie purchased the Proudy Ranch south of Malta. This made transportation back and forth from each place a little easier. Flying was not always work; he had many fun stories about his trips and loved to tell those tales. He served on several different boards including the Phillips County Fair and the Malta Irrigation board. When Phillips County celebrated their 100th Fair, he also celebrated attending all 100 Phillips County Fairs!

Everall had fond memories of his past adventures and stories to go along with them, including travels with his parents to southern Illinois, attending the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo, road and flying trips with Louie Perry, Red Moran, Lee Robinson and Marion Waters. He loved to watch sports and had attended several pro football games but his favorite pastime was to watch baseball. He has traveled to many a baseball game in his day but the best trip was to the World Series in the Texas Rangers Stadium at 95 years young.

In 1940, Everall married Edith Smith of Malta and had a daughter Judy. They later divorced. In 1960 he married Yvonne Norgan, they had three daughters, Lanni, Kathy and Kelly. They divorced in 1979. Everall married Marion Knight on October 20, 1982. They were married for over 36 loving years. He had a deep and abiding love and affection for Marion until his last day on earth.

Everall is lovingly survived by his wife Marion Holman, Malta, one brother Donald R. Holman, Kalispell, his four daughters, Judy (Bob) Cummings, Great Falls, Lanni (Curt) Jacobson, Missoula, Kathy (Paul) VanHoudt, Erie, Colorado, Kelly (Jim) Orahood, Malta. Grandchildren Hailey Jacobson, Joe, Tom (Brianne) and Kelly VanHoudt and Jessie, Frankie, Billie and Georgia Orahood, plus his first great grandson Silas VanHoudt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all who held a special place in his heart.

He is preceded in death by both parents and 6 of his 7 brothers and sisters, Vera Black, Orville Holman, Doris Elrick, Carol Holman, Clifford Holman and Harvey Holman.
