Wayne was born October 7, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan; the son of Eugene and Mildred (Smith) Hunt.
He graduated from Ovid High School and he was a member of the First Church of God and the First Free Methodist Church.
Wayne married Carol Spiess at Grace Bible Church in Owosso on July 3, 1965. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and working at the church in his spare time. He liked to help build and remodel homes and most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wayne was known as the "fastest meat cutter in Michigan" after 40 years of working for Hamady Brothers.
He is survived by his wife Carol; children Tammy (Scott) Black, Shane (Louise) Hunt, Lance (Shelly) Hunt; grandchildren Stephanie (Dennis) Winslow, Cody (Sara) Black, Sierra Hunt and Garrett Hunt, Austin, Phoebe, Elena Beyerlein, Caleb, Kylie, Jake, Jaycen Hunt and great-grandchildren Clare, Chloe Winslow and baby on the way Mia Grace Black; brother Stan (Karen) Hunt and Dick Hunt; brother-in-law Chuck (Karen) Spiess and Jerry (Mary) Spiess; sister-in-law Sally Hunt; brother-in-law Harvey Coon; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.
Wayne is predeceased by his parents Eugene and Mildred; sister Shirley Coon; brothers Don and Bob Hunt; infant brother Eugene; mother and father-in-law Claude and Flora Spiess.

Funeral Services will be held 11am Wednesday December 19, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday December 18 from 2pm to 8pm.
