Glenn William Leggett was the son James Forbes Leggett and Julia Alice "Moochie" Hixson. His father built the home that he was born in. Glenn was a farmer and spent his entire life on the family farm. He married Hallie Fern Shannon on May 10, 1922. She is the daughter of Edgar Bruce Shannon and Anna Mae VanValey. Glenn and Fern had three children: Robert Glenn "Bob", Dale William "Bill" and Norman Eugene "Gene".
