Donald Arno Reinemann was born June 14, 1930 in Sheboygan, the son of Albert and Alma (Hildebrand) Reinemann. He was raised in the Sheboygan area and attended Central High School and then graduated from Howards Grove High School in 1948. On Jan. 25, 1950, Don was joined in marriage to Shirley Herzog in Kiel, Wisconsin. Donald and his brother Karl took over their father’s plumbing and heating business. They operated the business together for several years. Don worked for the state of Wisconsin as a master plumber for 20 years and then continued to work into his 70s as a self-employed plumber. While working as a plumber, Don lived in Howards Grove and then Lily, Wisconsin. After his retirement, Don and Shirley moved to Hayward. Throughout his life he enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a member of Plumbing and Steamfitters Local Union 400 and the Howards Grove Lions Club. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove and in Hayward.
Donald is survived by his wife of 68 years, Shirley; three children, Alan (Mary) Reinemann, Jean (Dave Strzelecki) Reinemann and Debra (John) Kwaiser, all of Hayward; five grandchildren, Eric Reinemann of Hayward, Sarah (T.J. Brown) Pennings of Sheboygan, Elijah (Brenna) Frane of Elizabeth, Colorado, and Heath (Charly Hanson) Frane and Shantel (Tyler) Olson, both of Elizabeth, Colorado; three step-grandchildren, David (Brenda) Pennings of Cleveland, Wisconsin, Laura (Ron) Hart of Destin, Florida, and John Kwaiser III of Ft. Collins, Colorado; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Keith; a brother, Karl Reinemann; two sisters, Virginia Bruckschen and Helene Lutze; one step-grandchild, Daniel Pennings; and an infant brother.
A private interment will be held for Donald at a later date at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Howards Grove.
