Birchie Faye Deel, age 86, passed away Monday September 10, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center. She lived most of her life in Dickenson County and was of the Old Regular Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burnard Lee Deel; her parents, Henry and Hulda Fuller; one son, Tony Lee Deel; seven brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors Include:
Two Sons: Rodney Deel and wife, Jennifer of Clinchco, Virginia and Dean Blankenship of Sandlick, Virginia
One Sister: Thelma Rose Lewis of Powhatan, Virginia
Grandchildren: Jessica Branham, Tonya Lee Shoemaker, Brandon Blankenship, and Megan Blankenship
Great Grandchildren: Abigail Jewell Branham, ShyAnne Blankenship, Tyler Woodruff, Briana Woodruff, Alexis Woodruff, Brayden Blankenship, and Brantley Blankenship
One Sister: Thelma Rose Lewis of Powhatan, Virginia
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with services to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Newsome, Lloyd Deel and David O'Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the Blankenship Family Cemetery, Greenbriar Section, Haysi, Virginia.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Rose.
