She was born on May 30, 1924, in Bristol, the daughter of the late Ralph and Mildred (Ward) Bryant. Madolyn graduated from Bristol High School.
She married Charles C. Elliott and together with their three children moved to Portland in 1951. As a family they spent summers at their cottage in Bremen; many memories were made there.
Madolyn was a lifetime member of The Rebekahs Lodge. She worked during the war at Bath Iron Works and as a Nurses Aid with the Osteopathic Hospital back in the late 50s.
Known as 'Tugboat Annie' she enjoyed the CB and ham radio. Madolyn loved to dance and enjoyed music. She will be remembered for her cooking and her love for baking.
Madolyn and Charles wintered in Ocala, Fla., until his passing and then she continued with the tradition.
Madolyn is survived by her children, Diane Hiscock and her husband Arthur, Jeannine Bruns, and Stanton Elliot and his wife Donna; her aunt, 'The General,' Ann Ward; grandchildren, Lee Thurlow, Alisa Gibbs and her husband Stanley, Charlyn Foster and her husband DJ, Shawn Carter and his wife Jessica, Scott LeBourdais and his fiancee Nancy Grady and Troy LeBourdais and his wife Karen; and many loving great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Gosnell Memorial Hospice House staff for their wonderful care they provided to Madolyn.
