He was born August 1, 1974, in Charleroi, a son of Roy D. Alton of Coal Center and Vanessa Brown of Weedville.
Mr. Alton graduated from Bentworth High School, Washington and Jefferson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Civil Engineering.
A civil engineer, he was the Vice President of Alton Industries.
Mr. Alton was a member of Pillar of Faith Apostolic Church.
He enjoyed playing as well as coaching football. Mr. Alton was a former president of Charleroi Midget Football League and a coach with Charleroi Middle School and varsity programs. He loved being a parent to his kids and all the kids he coached.
Mr. Alton especially loved spending time with family and friends.
On August 2, 2003, he married Amanda Adams, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Matthew Alton; two daughters, Rayann Alton and Jenn Alton, all of Charleroi; two brothers, Cole Alton of Coal Center and John (Natalie) Mirtich of Huntingtown, Maryland; four sisters, Jamie (Sandy) Green and Jodie (Patrick) Reider, both of Danville, Tammy (Tom) Brown of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Lisa Och of Woodstock, Georgia; several nieces and nephews; maternal grandparents, Lillian and James Brown; and paternal grandparents, Roy V. and Madge Alton.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 15th, with Rev. Shawn Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Creek Cemetery, Charleroi.
