Casey Ray Anderson, 31, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born on March 9, 1987, in Duncan to Earnest Monroe “Pat” and Darla Jean DeShong Anderson.

Family visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 13, from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, December 14, at 1:30 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church West with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating, assisted by Rev. Bryan Pain and Rev. Billy Morgan. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Casey graduated from Duncan High School in 2005 and attended the Firefighter’s course at Oklahoma State University. He married Carissa Michelle Hampton on September 7, 2007, in Duncan. He was employed by Tilley Trucking as a dedicated truck driver. He and his parents ran a propane business for many years. After they sold the propane business, he hauled cattle. He also was a volunteer firefighter for the Oakridge Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years. He played the guitar and liked to do leather work. He enjoyed studying history, and going hunting and fishing. His favorite pastimes were hunting with his son, Cole, tickle time with his daughter, Cailyn, and spending quality family time with his wife and children. Most of all, he loved his family and his dog, Dodger.

Casey is survived by his wife, Carissa; children, Cole Michael and Cailyn Lois Anderson; father, Pat Anderson; sister, Cortney and husband Tim Griffith and children, Marlee Holt, Zackery and Kymrie Griffith; grandfather, Buzz Anderson; grandmother, Arlene and husband Tom Weaver; parents-in-law, Sandra and Michael Hampton; and sisters-in-law, Carolene and husband Mack Stringfellow and children, Alivia and Maddie Stringfellow, and Cecelia Hampton and child, Alejandro Aguirre.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Darla Anderson; and grandparents, Lois Anderson and Delbert DeShong.

Memorial contributions are being accepted at Whitt Funeral Home to assist with Casey’s funeral expenses.
