The Robinett sisters, Martha Mevlina Robinette and Virginia Elizabeth Robinette, had tragedy in their early years. Their father, James L Robinett died during Civil War Service in Tennesse in 1863 when the girls were 3 (Martha) and under 1 year (Virginia).

Almost three years later, their mother, Mary Angeline JONES Robinett, married for the 2nd time to George Washington FISHER on August 17, 1866. Mary gave George a son, Moses Fisher in 1867. She died either during childbirth or close afterwards in the same year 1867.

By the 1870 Van Zandt County, Texas, census both girls (Martha age 10, Virginia "Jennie", age 8) were living with their widowed maternal gandmother, Martha BEAVERS Jones. There were several aunts and uncles from the JONES and FISHER families living nearby including their Step-Father, George W Fisher with whom their step-brother Moses lived.

George married for a 2nd time to Sarah Jane McInturff; she was a cousin to their father James L Robinette.

Martha BEAVERS Jones died in 1870 after the census at age 45. The next census of 1880 shows that Martha Melvina Robinett is married (1877 at 17 yrs old) and living with her husband, Alan Dedric SIMMONS. Virginia Elizabeth "Jennie" Robinett married (1877 at 15 yrs old) to Jesse Morgan RASCO and is living with him at the time of the 1880 census. Their only child, Martha Melvina "Millie" RASCO was born in 1879. Millie later married John Benjamin LYNCH.

Jesse died young in January 1881; Jennie married 5 times in her lifetime and is believed to have died in 1919 during a tornado at the home of her daughter Millie RASCO Lynch and son-in-law, John B LYNCH along with their young child, an unnamed baby boy. The documentation of this event is attached to both their records within the LANE Family tree.
