Frank Edward Genise, 65, of Hibbing, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at home surrounded by his family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Hibbing to Angelo and Yvonne Genise on Oct. 24, 1947.

He married Dionilla Stanich in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on March 22, 1969. Frank was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 589 in Virginia for over 45 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and time at the cabin. Family and friends were very important to Frank especially his grandchildren. He was always willing and happy to help his family and friends with any project.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dionilla; children: Jon (Paula) Genise, and Dina (David "Stu") Stucynski; grandchildren: Nicole, Devon, Dylan and Geno; one brother; and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother Evelyn; father- and mother-in-law, Louis and Fran Stanich; and brother-in-law, Dick Stanich.
