YAKIMA - Adeline joyously left to go to the Feast of our Lord when she died peacefully in her sleep, Wednesday morning, May 5, 2004. Beloved wife of Erling, who predeceased her in 1997, and mother of Mary Lou, Janice and Kristin, Adeline began her journey to the Lord's table as the second daughter of Reverend Henry and Mable Thorpe. She was born in Belfield, N.D., on June 1, 1909, shortly after her missionary parents returned from China. Adeline spent her school years in Beach, ND, Patterson, CA, Minneapolis, MN, Portland, OR, and Milwaukee and Scandinavia, WI. One of her fond childhood memories was riding the stagecoach from the Biggs Junction, OR, ferry landing to Goldendale, WA, to visit her aunt Bertha Trost. …(Partial Obituary)
