APRIL 4, 1933 ~ DECEMBER 5, 2018 (AGE 85)

Elizabeth Louise Howard Dover, 85, of East Brainerd went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

A longtime resident of East Brainerd, Mrs. Dover was a retired nurse and had worked for several years at both Parkridge Medical Center and Fortwood Behavior Health Center as well as doing private duty nursing. She, along with her late husband, were co-owners of Dover Electric Co.

Mrs. Dover also served as a volunteer with Volunteers in Medicine for a number of years.

She was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church and the Golden Circle Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale, her parents, Lee and Sally Howard , and brother, Robert S. Howard.

Survivors are two daughters, Patricia (Mike) Dover-Bedwell, Chattanooga, and Debbie (Greg) Sullivan, Phoenix, AZ.; two sons, Ricky (Melissa) Dover, McDonald, and Randy (Liddy) Dover, Chattanooga; nine grandchildren, Rance (Ashley) Edwards, Jr., Lori (Tim) Ringley, Jonathan Edwards, Josh (Erica) Dover, Danyelle (Luke) Woods, Michael (Kelsea) Dover, Evan Dover, Gabrielle (Andrew) Dover, and Elijah Dover ; six great-grandchildren. Taelyn, Jadewyn, Treston, Zoe, Teo, and Lucas.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 11th at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Mason officiating. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with her grandsons, Rance Edwards, Jr., Jonathan Edwards, Josh Dover, Michael Dover, Evan Dover and Elijah Dover, serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Volunteers in Medicine, 5705 Marlin Rd. #1400, Chattanooga, TN 37411 or Missions Fund @ Morris Hill Baptist Church, 1804 Morris Hill Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37421.

The family will receive friends Monday from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
