After her marriage to Walter, they settled in Edgley, Pa. They resided there for many years, in the house Walter built, with Jane by his side. There they raised a daughter, Sharon (Tomlinson) Dunscomb, and a son, Mark Tomlinson. Most recently Jane was a resident of Attleboro Village, Langhorne, Pa.
Jane was employed for many years as a docent at Pennsbury Manor, where she guided tours through the historic property. She especially enjoyed her interaction with the school children who visited. She was a founding member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bristol, where she served the Lord faithfully until the time of her death. Jane was a gifted musician and served as a soloist, a member of special ensembles, a choir member, a pianist and an organist. She also taught children’s Sunday School for many years. Jane enjoyed playing her clarinet in two local bands: the Tri-County band and the Old Comrades band. She was also an accomplished seamstress. She will be fondly remembered for her gentle nature, her kindness, her dependability and her love and concern for others.
She is survived by her sister, Joann (Ted) Reaves of Florida; her daughter, Sharon Dunscomb (Dennis) of Hamilton, N.J.; her son, Mark Tomlinson (Debbie) of Levittown; her grandchildren, Mark Jr., Daniel, Christopher, and Matthew Tomlinson, and Meredith Dunscomb Yoder (Jared), Kyle, and Scott Dunscomb; and three great-grandchildren, Addilyn, Hudson and Joelle Yoder; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ronald and Marvin; and her husband, Walter.
Interment was private in Thompson Memorial Cemetery. A memorial celebration of Jane’s life will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 12, at Calvary Baptist Church, 250 Green Lane, Pa.
