Christopher A. Cour, 52, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Lynnwood House in Mt. Pleasant. He was born July 21, 1966, and was adopted by Arthur and Violet (Durfee) Cour at the age of 2. Chris lived most of his life in Mt. Pleasant, most recently at Lynnwood House.
Chris is survived by his siblings, Linda (George) Novotny of Valparaiso, IN, David (Cathy) Hardy of Durand, MI, Patricia (Mark) Fribley and Cindy (Bill) Jones of Big Rapids, Kathy (Ron) DeMott, and Arthur (Pam) Cour, both from Mecosta, and Terry (Lynn) Cour of Evart; nieces, Karen, Stacie, Angela, Amanda and Jennifer and nephews, Scott, Aaron and Brandon, great nieces and nephews and his Lynnwood House family. He was preceded in death by his father in 1996, and his mother in 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, Michigan with Pastor Charles Hewlett officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mecosta. Christopher’s family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
