  W. Merrill Miller, 79, died Aug. 24, 1981, in a Salt Lake convalescent home, following a lingering illness.
  Born Jan. 2, 1902, Greenville, Utah to William A. and Winniferd Richards Miller. Married Thekla James, June, 1924, at Beaver, Utah. She died Aug. 19, 1972. Mr. Miller retired in 1967 from the U.S. Forest Service, was a member of Forest Service Old Timers, and the LDS Church. A former resident of Milford, and Black Rock, he and his wife found life in the company of friends and children.
  He is survived by: son, Walter James Miller, Centerville; two sisters, Juanita Nelson and Aleene Farmer, Salt Lake City; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services were conducted at 12 noon on Friday, at Eastman's Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 1st South. Family suggests contributions to the Utah Boys Ranch or charity of your choice. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
