Corrine B. Donahue, age 94, died Thursday, November 8, 2018 at home under the care of Mayo Hospice and her children. She was born July 29, 1924 to Amy L. (Raver) Boldon and Joe H. Boldon in Eau Claire, WI. She grew up in New Auburn, WI. She married John (Jack) M. Donahue February 6, 1945 and worked while he went to the Pacific in World War II.

Corrine worked as a secretary for the Chippewa County Superintendent of Schools, Chippewa County Creamery, Eau Claire County Health Dept., and Eau Claire elementary schools.

She played piano for church and Sunday School and for family enjoyment. She golfed with the Hallie Ladies. A favorite vacation spot was Goose Lake near New Auburn. She read all her life and used the books on CD from LE Phillips Library in the last years. Corrine supported the Lake Street Methodist Radio Ministry, Easter Seals, UNICEF, and the VFW Auxiliary.

The family thanks niece Barbara Davis and Corrine’s friends and neighbors for the love they have shown to her.

Corrine is survived by daughter Jacqueline M. (David) Johnson of Michigan and son John M. (Deborah) Donahue of Eau Claire; four grandchildren, Deacon (Laurela) Johnson, Eric (Megan) Staggs, Josephine Johnson, and Elisha (Nancy) Johnson; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother -in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard Donahue, Verona Donahue, and Frances Donahue of Bloomer.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her two brothers and sister -in-law, Erle (Eleanor) Boldon and Richard Boldon, her brothers-in-law and sister -in-law Dan Donahue and Barbara (Charles) Hanson.

A family burial will be held at a later date. Cremation Society of Wisconsin is assisting the family. Online condolences can be left at cremation society-wi.com.
