Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bartholomew Funeral Home for Mrs. C. L. (Cora Louise) Bartholomew, 86, of 155 Walnut, widow of the former mayor of Valparaiso who served two four-year terms from 1934-1941.
Mrs. Bartholomew died unexpectedly at her home Saturday.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.
Born Dec. 9, 1885 in Valparaiso, she was a daughter of Alfred and Octavia (Hawkins) Bannister.
A lifelong resident, Mrs. Bartholomew was a charter member of Iota Chapter, Tri Kapa Sorority.
Surviving are one son, C. Robert, owner-operator of Bartholomew Funeral Home, and four grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death in 1960.
