Florence (Barrett) Hammock, born Oct. 21, 1932 in Clay County, KY, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. She was a longtime resident of South Lebanon, OH prior to retiring to Oneida, TN 32 years ago. Florence was a faithful member of the Stearns Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Her greatest joys in life were her family, friends, her precious church family and reading of God's word.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Daniel and Christine Simpson Barrett; her beloved husband of 65 years: Kenneth Hammock; son: Dennis Hammock; grandson: Keith Hammock; 3 siblings: Fay Bush, Ralph and Delno Barrett.
Florence is survived by her daughter: Carol (Owen) Taylor; sister: Deborah (Roger) Castner; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Friends may visit with the Hammock family on Monday April 29, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the Jones and Sons Funeral Home in Oneida, TN with Pastor Daniel McFeeters officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.
