Martina Alley Baker of Temple, Texas passed away on November 30, 2018. Tina was born on August 12, 1928 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas to Walter and Lula Alley.

After graduation from high school in May 1947, Tina led the migration of her mother, two sisters and a brother to Houston, where she met Jeff Baker. They were married on July 7, 1950. Tina worked for over 25 years at Houston Lighting & Power, retiring in 1985. Tina and Jeff moved to Kingsland, Texas in 1990.

Tina is survived by her daughter, Yvette Day and her husband Charlie Day, of Temple, and her son, Kirk Baker and his wife, Ellenore Baker, of Dallas. She is survived by seven grandchildren; Natalie, Michael, Anya, Jeff, Marti, Graham and Cate; and four great-grandchildren; MaryAnne, Olivia, Addison and Will, as well as her sister, Elizabeth, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was followed closely in death, on December 1, by her beloved younger sister, Louise. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Keith Baker of Midland, her sister Donnie, brothers Charles and D.W.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 A.M. on December 4, followed by the funeral service at 10 conducted by Dr. Ron Milne and Charlie Day at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, 3110 Airport Rd., Temple, Texas.

Graveside service will be at 2:30 P.M. at Fields Store Cemetery in Waller, Texas.Special thanks and appreciation to the loving nurses and caregivers from Interim Hospice and Brookdale Meridian.
