Richard Raymond Flack was born March 12, 1919 at Little York, IL to Arthur and Jenny (Weinberger) Flack. He grew up and attended schools in the Little York area.
He married Leona Clark in 1942. He farmed at Rio, IL for many years until his retirement in 1979 when he moved to Galesburg, IL.
He married Joanne Stephens Groome November 10, 1983 in Sundance, WY. They lived in Gillette, WY, then moved to Forestburg, SD in 1986. In 2001 they moved to Mitchell and he had been a resident of Avera Brady Health and Rehab in Mitchell since he fractured his hip in February of 2006. Richard was an active member of the Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his wife Joanne, one son, Richard Lee Flack, Rio, IL, one daughter, Vicki Blender and her husband Steve, Woodhull, IL, two stepsons, Richard Starks and wife Sandy and Ronald Starks, Denver, CO, two stepdaughters, Peggy Wakeman and husband Robert, Kokomo, IN, Rhonda Goodman and husband Roger, Casper, WY nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Arthur, Edward, William and his parents.
